OrthoLink One Step adhesive, also known as orthodontic resin cement, was developed for bonding of metal, ceramic and polycarbonate orthodontic brackets directly on the dental surface.
The material is applied directly to the surface of the bracket and then to the tooth enamel region, after priming with acid conditioning.
The monomeric matrix formulation of the Ortholink One Step is based on the main structuring methacrylic monomers and adhesives, and its inorganic composition consists of a distribution of high-performance Barium-Aluminum glass and Nanosilica.
Therefore, the Ortholink One Step adhesive provides considerable increase in adhesive strength, adequate working time, and easy handling and prevents displacement before photopolymerization.
CHARACTERISTICS
MDP: Ortholink One Step is an innovative product that uses MDP adhesive monomer, considered the gold standard in orthodontic bonding. It offers versatility, durability and effective adhesion to brackets, without harming tooth enamel.
UV tracer: The product has a fluorescent dye, also known as UV tracer, which glows under ultraviolet light. This dye helps to identify excess orthodontic adhesive, facilitating its removal and helping to avoid harming the tooth enamel.
Fluoride Protection: The fluoride present in Ortholink One Step patch plays an importante role in preventing cavities, strengthening tooth enamel and inhibiting bacterial activity.
Primer + Adhesive + Filler: Ortholink One Step is a self-adhesive product that does not require the use of a separate dental adhesive, since all the necessary components are combined in its formula. Tests carried out by major universities have proven that the use of this material without additional dental adhesive provides better results in terms of shear strength compared to competing products.
Intact Enamel: The composition of the orthodontic adhesive with MDP, high performance fillers and structuring monomers brought a high bond strength to the material, as well as a safe adhesion after removal of the brackets, because Ortholink One Step adhesive does not damage the enamel, perfectly bonding the dental substrate to metal, ceramic or polycarbonate brackets.
Handling: The Ortholink One Step adhesive has a formula that provides a high bonding strength. It adheres securely to the dental substrate and enables a perfect bonding with brackets of diff erent materials. In addition, the adhesive is designed to cause no damage to the tooth enamel during the application and removal of the brackets.
Structuring Monomers: The organic matrix of Ortholink One Step orthodontic adhesive is formed by the main structuring monomers used worldwide in the development of composites, such as BisGMA. These monomers perform important functions such as reduced polymerization shrinkage factor, increased shelf life, thixotropy, and excelente adhesive strength.
